Affentheater / The monkey problem
Affentheater - und was fuer eins.
Klar die Lodge ist voll mit Leckereien fuer die Gruenen Meerkatzen und die Paviane.
Dazu kommt noch, dass die Primaten ganz schoen schlau sind und einige auch noch ziemlich frech.
Die Affen klauen was das Zeug haelt.
Besonders ein Maennchen der Meerkatzen ist uebel drauf und greift sogar Menschen an, nicht nur Staff Leute, sondern auch Gaeste.
Seit gestern ist aber Schluss mit dem Theater, zumindest mit dem aggressiven Maennchen.
Nachdem es wieder einen Menschen angegriffen hatte, hat man sich dazu entschieden, dass Tier zu erschiessen.
Klingt hart, ist auch echt komisch fuer mich, aber fuer die Lodge, die Staff Leute und vor allem fuer die Gaeste, ist das einfach die bessere Loesung.
Teilweise brechen die Affen sogar in die Haeuser ein, verwuesten alles, machen Dinge kaputt, nur um an Futter zu kommen. Schlaue Biester.
Das gehoert definitiv zu den Schatten Seiten im sonst so schoenen Leben im Busch.

True, there a lots of tasty treats in the Lodge. Not just for human, also for the vervet monkeys and the baboons.
In addition to that, these creatures are so clever AND naughty!
They grab and steal everything they can find.
And some or aspecially one is very aggressive and chases staff people and even guests!
But since yesterday there is an end of it!
At least with the big aggressive male one.
This one chased people again and again and now they decided to shoot him.
Seems hard, but its the best decision for all the people around here.
This is definitely one of the dark sides in the usually bright bushlife.

Mehr als ich mir jemals ertraumen koennte / More than I could ever dream of
Ich bin jetzt seit 10 Tagen in Sabi Sand.
Ich kann es immer noch nicht fassen, welches Glueck ich habe hier zu sein.
Ich komme mit den Gaesten super zurecht und es macht mir unglaublich viel Spass Dinge zu erklaeren fuer die ich brenne.
Ob es das Verhalten der Impalas, Elefanten oder Leoparden ist, der Sternenhimmel oder auch Dinge bezueglich der Lodge, mir macht einfach jede Sekunde Spass.
Und dazu kommt auch noch, dass ich hier jeden Tag neue Tiere entdecke oder andere Verhaltensweisen beobachten kann.
I am in Sabi Sand for 10 days now.
I still cant realise it, I am so lucky!
I love the interacting with the guests. I love chatting and explaining them things I already learned about the bush! Doesnt matter if it is about animals behaviour, the african night sky or things about the lodge, I enjoy every second of work here.
And what is the best thing? I learn and see new stuff every day!
